Childhood obesity may be linked to excessive use of technology

YouGov compared the opinions of over 1,000 consumers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia to find out how access to technology among children impacts their health and its link to childhood obesity.

The online survey conducted by YouGov Omnibus found that close to 9 in 10 children across UAE and KSA have access to handled electronic devices and these children are spending over two and half hours on them everyday. Parents view obesity as the biggest health issue among kids today with over 69% of parents acknowledge the link between excessive use of technology and childhood obesity. These among others were some of the interesting insights that YouGov Omnibus drew from the survey.
